Interesting – so “vibe” usually means an AI tool was used to develop it in which case I’m left wondering why one needs to pay for it since pretty much anybody with a bit of dev knowledge would be able to build such things.

This is going to have an interesting impact on the cost of plugins, which are already in a race to zero dollars.

I’m always interested in loopers for GP. I’m using Mobius now, though it’s not the easier to work with.

Dhj, what makes you think it was AI created? Looks pretty intricate to me—which I’m aware doesn’t mean AI wasn’t used for its development. I wonder who developed it…

The term “vibe” was in the title

Vibe coding is an AI-driven software development approach where developers use natural language prompts to have AI generate, refine, and build applications, focusing on the desired “vibe” or outcome rather than manually writing code

I’d say nothing beats msuperlooper for now as it really has tons of features and works well with gig performer. Next best will be loopy pro once it has actual vst3, currently only iPad

It always depends on what you’re using it for … I’m creating Soundscapes and not Beat Loops … I find a looper that fades out automatically (like this Vibe Looper) really exciting… at my current setup I’m using the SooperLooper (a single instance and multiple loops of varying lengths) and the Hardware Looper on my HELIX, as well as the Mobius and Enso Looper. I’ve got the msuperlooper too, but it’s not really my thing. There are a few others, such as Boomerang, this Vibe Looper, the TH-U Looper, the Ableton Looper

Leaving the hardware aside, which one do you find the easiest to use with GP? I like Mobius, it can do so much, though I find it tricky to program.

It really depends on how you use it: multiple loops of the same length, loops synced to the playback BPM/GP, live looping of different lengths, single-track loops, loops of varying lengths, or a structured loop-based song arrangement?

Turning different loops or loop versions on and off, like with the Boss/Roland loopers… or more like Electro Harmonics… there are so many approaches here.

For me, Sooperlooper (which is free, by the way) is ideal. Everyone has their own preferences.
