Need help setting up TouchOSC between PC Laptop and Android Phone -Galaxy S23

Spent several hours over a few days trying to get the devices to talk to each other. Imabout ready to give up and go with some other way to control GP. Phone is connected by cable to USB A port on computer. I have TouchOSC Bridge installed on my laptop, but I don’t think I need with a cable connection between computer and phone, right?

This should be so simple, what am I missing?

See screenshots please…

Please help! Thank You!! Or, please send link to a very clear explanation how to do this. I have watched several vids on YT most assume some knowledge that I don’t have. I turned off Windows firewall and I don’t have any anti virus software running. Laptop is new and running Win 11. There is a blog on GP website with link to setting this up but the link goes to ‘page not found’.

If you don’t want to use a WiFI router, then a situation gets complicated.
See here for Mac and USB cable: iPad + Mac: TouchOSC via USB cable

I’d be had happy to use a WIFI router. I just thought a cable connection would be easier. I also would like to avoid using the venue WIFI if that is part of the WIFI router setup. I just don’t know. Please send a link for instructions using the WIFI router and I will try that. How about using Bluetooth to connect the devices? But then I thought you can’t send MIDI through BT, you need to have a WIFI connection. Thanks!

[blog] Working with TouchOSC and Gig Performer

Appreciate this article but it is way beyond on my knowledge base. I’m simply trying to get my Android phone connected to my PC laptop via USB cable to communicate with GP. There must be something unique to my setup that is preventing the signal from getting through. I hate to give up on this. I can usually find a solution to any problem I’ve had with computer connections but I’m stuck right now. Thanks.
