Footswitch with bi-directional Midi control for Rackspace

Hello everyone,
our guitarist wants to switch his setup from hardware to GigPerformer. A few rack spaces have already been created and the RS presets from GP have been used. Now we are looking for a footswitch that can display the states of GP’s plugins, e.g. B. whether the delay in the RS or GlobalRS is switched on or off.
I hope you understand what I mean.

We are currently setting up PaintAudio’s “Midi Captain”. Unfortunately that doesn’t really work.

Is there such a footswitch or do you have a suggestion?

Thank you very much and best regards

Franjo

Take a look at this
# Mastermind GT/16 MIDI Foot Controller

If you get a Morningstar controller, then you can use this purpose-built extension for integrating it with GP.

I also had some success with bi-directional sync with the Nektar Pacer.

I use this one in the rehearsal room:

Works well, also bidirectional.
Only thing is, the chrome rings around the switches somehow started to rust… I guess it’s because of water, when playing with wet shoes.

I have now bought the Nektar Pacer and have already programmed it. However, I haven’t received any feedback from GP’s widgets yet. Is there a suitable rackspace or a script or something similar? Could someone possibly make this available to me?

Have you enabled the “Sync” button on the widget’s properties MIDI tab??

Are you using the online editor?

The steps for the Pacer:

  • Footswitches set to “CC Trigger”
  • “LED MIDI” setting to “1”

For GP’s widget properties;

  • Use a button widget
  • On the MIDI tab, set the “Sync” button and “Momentary to latching”

Yes, I’m using the Online Editor

Yes, and I did it the way rank13 instructed. Unfortunately it doesn’t sync.

Can you screenshot your Pacer editor screen and widget properties.

It’s interesting that your editor looks different (newer?) but same url.
It should work. I modified foootswitch B to match your settings and it works fine with my Pacer and GP.

When you push the changes back to the Pacer, are you also clicking the main selector knob on the Pacer a few times in order to accept the changes (until the dots stop flashing)?

Now that I have assigned the buttons corresponding colors, it works. Luckily for me, all I’m missing now are the corresponding colored buttons and LED pads in GP
