I use predictive set to three for small sets where I play the song listing in order. I also have one very large Gig File where I jump around a lot and don’t follow any order. I would like to have the large Gig File set to one for predictive.
Is there any way that a command can be sent (using Windows) to automatically change predictive to suit smaller or larger Gig Files?
It might be interesting to add such a feature to GP, tied to a gigfile but right now there’s no way to do this in GP itself. I suppose it could be done with some kind of keyboard macro tool that could click in all the right places but I’m not sure that’s worth the trouble.
It would be when you’ve just loaded a 500 rs gigfile with the predictive still set on 3.
As a solution for your wish you could create an own instance with identical settings (except for the predictive loading amount) for opening that large gig file.

Sure, sorry. You can use Gig Performer multiple times (even at the same time) without the individual instances knowing from each other or interfering with one another.
That means separate processor cores but also individual setting files which can be beneficial in your case: one instance can have predictive loading set to 3, the other one set to a different number.
You would open your regular gig files in the normal instance and the big one in the latter.
