Hey Dave, I’m running 2 instances of Gp. Will the advanced song chooser change both at the same time? Both instances have the set list in the exact same order. I’m on both PC and a mac mini, if it can change both instances I’ll buy it. The mac mini is running Monterey but I’ll take a chance that it will work.
Also, I downloaded the basic version and windows said it has a virus in it. I’m sure its something windows doesn’t like but thought it best to let ya know.
If you run the Advanced Song Chooser on one instance, you can then use OSC Sync to keep the second instance in sync when the Advanced Song Chooser updates the 1st instance (see this post for a bit of info on syncing: Sync Instances - new 4.7 feature)
I’m pretty sure the virus detection is a false positive. I’ve not encountered that myself with Bitdefender. Which AV package are you using?
It would be nice if you clicked on search text to open an in place banner with a-z on it and after clicking on a letter to add it to the search.
Clicking on queue or add, to then to hide the a-z banner so its all in place with no need for keyboard physical or virtual popups. saw this on an app and works well, they had it so clicking on search text area opened a-z and clicking on magnifier opened keyboard.
Love the extension, I use a macbook and no touch or keyboard, this would work well, not sure if possible with your coding.
I did think of implementing a built in keyboard for the search function, but the operating system’s virtual keyboard pops-up so well when the text field is selected on all systems I tested, that it seemed to me a built in keyboard would be more of a hinderance clashing with the OS derived one.
What operating system are you using? Does the OS’s virtual keyboard not work that well on your system?
