Hi. Anyone know the fix to this?:-
If I load the attached Rack as an example, open the VST and adjust the mapped parameter (‘cut off’ in this example) corresponding widget updates fine.
Then if I save, quit, and restarted GP, and try again, the widget no longer updates.
This is not specific to the VST instruments. I’ve used HALion SE in the example as you may have that available, but I appear to have the issue in all VSTs.
What happens if you adjust the setting from the widget rather than from the VST?
That direction works, but both directions should work.
When the plugin has proper HOST automation it works both ways.
What does “proper” mean. Are you saying Kontakt, HALion etc. don’t have “proper”?
I mention at the start that this DOES work at first.
I’ll throw something out there for the heck of it. (May well be off base).
Do you have that widget in a song part where you may have saved a snapshot?

No. I created a brand new gig and brand new rack, no songs, to illustrate the issue.
What version of GP do you use?
Latest 4.x

I used the Learn feature.

Ok, I can see that the widget uses HOST automation in Kontakt 0006 Glide.
When I move the widget I can see that the HOST parameter reacts in Kontakt.
What do I have to do to get the issue?
I can reproduce the issue !
Moved the widget, HOST parameter in Kontakt is reacting.
Moved Parameter in Kontakt, Widget is reacting.
Saved the Gig
Restarted Gig Performer
Loaded the Gig
Moved the Parameter in Konakt => Widget is not reacting.
I tested with VST3 and AU format on Mac
I tested the same with Pianoteq 8 VST3 => no issue at all.
Seems that Kontakt 7 really is the culprit.
Doublechecked with Kontakt (V6), no issue.
I cannot reproduce it on Windows.
After saving and re-opening, the widget moves when I move the parameter in Kontakt 7, and vice versa.
Yes. Exactly the issue I am describing.
I get the issue with Kontakt 7 (VST3), Komplete Kontrol (yes - a host within a host 
), HALion Full, HALion SE – basically every VST I try, so it’s definitely not just Kontakt.
I am using Windows 10, and Kontakt 7 VST 3. Are you sure you are saving, quiting, then trying again. As per initial post - it works at first. Doesn’t work on reload.
I am on Windows 11.

For me, the VST3 is fine.
Versioning might be important. I am using 7.7.0
