Sustain not working

Having a very odd issue.

When mapping sustain to Arturia Piano V2, my sustain pedal doesn’t work.

When I link it to other instruments, (swinging my midi connections over as a test in this in this test rackspace) it works.

I’ve tried deleting the Arturia Piano V2 plugin and re-adding it, different versions (VST3, VST, AU), physicallly restarting / reseating everything, and no luck.

Why do you need to map and why are you using 2 different MIDI IN plugins?

I tried without mapping too (native sustain). It didn’t work (piano only).

What do you mean by map?
CC 64 (sustain) should be automatically recognized by the plugin.
I am using the same and it is working out of the box.

See my response above.

I’m using this method as a second try (after native sustain / no separate mapping).

I am lost, what is the issue and what do you want to achieve?

Sustain works on all instruments in my pic above except piano V2.

Can you make a simple rackspace, only 1 MIDI IN and piano V2?

What version of Piano V2 or Analog Lab are you using?

Well, if you have defined both MIDI In blocks are OMNI then you need to have blocked all events except the sustain pedal from one of them and blocked the sustain pedal from the other one.

You should also insert a local MIDI Monitor plugin after those plugins to see exactly what is being sent to that piano when you press the sustain pedal

Yes I did all of the event blocking per the blog article I linked above.

ok on what midi channel are the midi notes coming in?

Midi channel 2

try using a new midi in block without blocking anything

Same issue.

What’s really odd:

  • sustain works flawlessly on other plugins in this Rig (pedal connected directly to Arturia Keylab 61).
  • sustain works flawlessly in a different Rig Manager setup on all plugins INCLUDING Piano V2 (pedal connected directly to Yamaha P-45).

For this particular gig I need to get it working with my single Keylab 61.

Please play some notes so we can see what your keyboard is sending to that piano?

This version has sustain blocked on the keyboard midi in:

And here’s a second version where I did not block sustain on the keyboard controller midi in.

Can you upload a small gig file having this issue?
And an export of your rig manager.

I’d prefer not to as I keep this laptop offline as a rule due to its age (OS is out of support from Apple). Did the midi blocks above help?

Currently running:
Macbook Pro Mid-2012 running MacOS 10.15.7; 16GB RAM
Gig Performer 4.7
Arturia Piano V2 2.9.1.1843
