Bypassing the plugin will stop all sounds immediately which is fine if that’s what you want)

But unfortunately, many plugins go on sounding (e.g. remaining fx tails) when unbypassed again. This is one of the reasons why I suggested the Scriptlet Plugin Persist 2, which lets the sound fade out before bypassing the plugin.
