Streaming Audio Player and Recording Audio in GP

Few questions.

  1. Is there is a way to load audio files into the streaming audio player at runtime with a script perhaps? Monitor a directory?
  2. Is the a way to change a recorded audio stream’s name to something more meaningful?
  3. Is the a way to stop recorded audio from creating a new directory for each recording?

Purpose. I want to record what I’m playing using a panel button and afterwards have an option to play it back using another button… all inside GP.

Although I love the idea of diving into a software looper, this is not what I had in mind. Thanks for the suggestion.
