I sometimes have gigs where there is a 15 minute change over from the previous band. Is there a way I can start and load up GP without it connected to my controllers or audio interface? Then I just have to plug in and not have to wait for the 2-3 minute load time for GP.
You have to have some audio interface connected but generally you don’t have to have your controllers connected as GP will detect them when you do connect them.
However, one solution is to use BlackHole as a virtual interface and set up a “Multi-output” device that combines Blackhole with your physical interface.
If your physical audio interface isn’t connected, GP will still start ok. When you then plug in your hardware interface, everything should work properly although you might have to double-click on the PANIC icon on the top right of Gig Performer to restart the audio engine.
