Hi,
I use the Yamaha ESP plugin a lot and have it set in Global rackspace. Can I make it change patches by selecting different rackspaces?
I found this topic, but this only sends PC-messages and no MSB/LSB:
Thanks!

You can use Song Part Actions to send the desired messages to the âLocal GP Portâ.
In the global rackspace include the âLocal GP Portâ Plugin and connect it to your vst.
Thanks Pianopaul, I tried your method, and also the Midi OSC method from the blog that is online. I hooked it up a midi monitor in global rackspace, but it seems that only MSB and LSB are coming thru. There is no PC message in both methods.
And I did not activate the option âonly accept program change messages on a specific channelâ. I must be doing something else wrong. Any ideas?
Thanks
In the Global Midi Monitor, there are showing PC messages.
But in the Midi Monitor block I put in Global Rackspace right after the âMidi In (Local GP Port)â block, there are none. Only MSB/LSB.
How looks your Global Midi options window?
Please upload your gig file, so I could check
When I was preparing the file to send, I was deleting all other rackspaces that were of no use for this test. Then I tried it again and it worked. Strange. For the record, here is the Gig file. Thank you.
Midi test MSB-LSB-PC.gig (59.0 KB)
I was to quick on telling it worked. I meant that the PC was coming thru, however, the ESP plugin still doesnât change patches.
While in Ableton it does. Must be something else going on
Are you on Mac or Windows?
Iâm on Mac
OK, please try the AU Version of MONTAGE
You are sure that Channel 4 is the correct one?
I swapped the VST3 with the AU, but still nothing. Have been trying both ch1 and ch4, since I know the actual Montage can sometimes behave a little strange when everything happens on ch1.
In ableton I use the VST3 version and it works like a charm.
I tried it with the delays in between, but still no luck in GP
I tried with Pianoteq 8 VST3, is working
OMG, canât believe I got fooled again by the offset of -1 in the MSB/LSB/PC values. Problem solved. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the help ![]()
It now works on both methods.
One quick question though: I was trying a third method of sending the working MSB/LSB/PC from ableton via GP relayer to GP, but again only MSB/LSB got thru. No PC. Any reason for that?
Thanks for your help, once again.
Regards,
Stef
On Mac better you use IAC
Is it perhaps because in GP the rackspaces are automatically assigned to a PC and therefore it doesnât gets passed thru? Is it possible to disable that?
Ok, Thank you!
