Adding for future self:

I had a similar issue just few days ago: After scanning most NI plugins were left red. I was able to use Kontakt, but Guitar Rig for example wouldn’t initialize 32 bit or 64 bit. I had installed them successfully with Native Access.

I finally tried opening Guitar Rig as a Windows application. That wouldn’t open either, as it complained about a missing C++ runtime library. So no wonder the plugin didn’t initialize in Gig Performer either. Works after installing C++ runtime libs.
