Sample not loading

Quick question :

One of my plugin doesn’t load the sample when i activate the rackspace. I’ve to double click the VST3 and then the sample loads. I have seen some topic in community which looks same as what i’m experiencing … May be its not GP, its the plugin developer… But is there anyway to sort this out?

What plugin are you using?

Ok… let’s see what we have:

  • something about samples
  • a plugin in vst 3 format
  • you have to doubleclick the plugin

…that’s all. Not very much information you’re providing!
How should anyone be able to give a useful advice if you don’t tell us the needed details?
Please try to stick to these guidelines and provide as much and detailed information you can:

Hi Paul, Its an ethnic flute by three body technology

Any chance you can test it in a DAW?

Seems the state of the plugin is not stored in the gig File.
Can you upload a small gig file?

Hi Erik, so sorry for this. Here are more detailed information

  1. I’m using macOS 15 Sequoia
  2. macbook pro m2 16+512 GB, 1TB external NVME SSD
  3. GP V5.0.20
  4. Three body technology (i dont remember the version right now, cant access the computer right now sorry for that)
  5. Motu m4 connected to mac through caldigit ts3 plus
  6. I’ve tried nothing much… Quite new to GP and dont know what should i try right now.
  7. Samples are not loading when the rackspace is activated… i have to double click to start up the plugin. the sample loads then i can play normally

You mean the complete gig file with all my rackspaces? or create a new one only including that plugin?

Just a small new one with the problematic plugin.

Sure thing… I’,m at office right now. I will get home within 2 hours and upload the file… Thanks

Sure, i will try it in logic pro… how do you want me to try? load and switch between different channel?

No need to apologize, i just wanted to give a hint, how things might be easier for all of us. :beers:
One thing you should definitely try: Use another plugin format (VST2/AU) and see if this probably works… it’s so often that the diffrent formats of the same plugin might behave diffrently!

Just include your plugin in a track and load a sample.
Then save the project, restart logic, load the project and see if the samples are loaded without opening the plugin.

by the way, did you try with VST2 version?

Hi Paul here’s the gig file
Problem.gig (18.6 KB)

Sadly they don’t provide vst2 format… its only AU and VST3… I am using only vst3 for all my racks… can I mix up AU and vst3? I read that mixing formats of same plugin brings problem… but what about “A” plugin AU format and “B” plugin vst3 format?

Same in logic as well… I guess its the plugin’s problem?

There’s no VST2 format for this one… Is it possible to map a widget which will start the plugin automatically when I open the gig file?

Copied from the website for the “Lost Soul” plugin!
You should check that once more!

Also you could use the AU format, just to crosscheck if this would theoretically solve your issue!
If you start with a new/empty gig file/rackspace, there would be no mixing of formats.
If it turns out that another format generally would work as expected you’d have a proof if the issue is on the manufacturers side or not.

Then it is for sure a plugin issue.
