Replace au version of plugin with vst3 version, without loosing the loaded preset

Hello,
My main computer is a Mac Mini M1 2020 16gb 1tb.
I have lot’s of rackspaces mostly using the au version of the plugins.

Now I wan’t to setup a backup computer on Windows.

Is it possible to replace all au instances with vst3 versions without loosing the loaded presets/settings?

If I use replace plugin, the plugin is empty or default preset.

No, this is not possible as the plugin state of VST3 and AU is different.

The only possibility you might have (it depends on how specific plugins were implemented) is to use the plug-in’s own preset manager (if it has one) to save the sounds. It may then be possible to load those settings into a different version of the plugin on the assumption that the plugin developer made presets compatible.
