Are program changes sent by rackspaces or variations?
I
No. They respond to program changes
But with a MIDI Out Block (or using Set List Mode) you can send a program change to a certain device when the Rackspace becomes active.
What I mean is, do I have to create a new rackspace for each program change i send to a softsynth.
I see variations only remember the state of the knobs and sliders etc.
This will make for a lot of rackspaces right.
Sorry if this has been discussed before in the community, just having a hard time sending pc to Diva
Also, see the first few paragraphs of this blog article
https://gigperformer.com/rackspaces-vs-program-changes/
as it describes the pros and cons of using rackspaces rather than program changes.
@dhj You are absolutely right, different rackspaces is the better solution.
I never use PC message to change presets in plugins.
I use different rackspaces or multiple instances of the same plugin and filter note on messages in variations.
Thanks for clearing that up for me guys…This is such a great app…
