I am using the GP Audio Player plugin to play an mp3 of a few seconds long intro to a song. I have the audio player set to one-shot mode. When the audio gets to the end, GP remains in Play mode and if I want to play it again I have to hit “Play” to end play mode and then hit “Play” again to restart the audio.
I’ve searched all the options and done a quick search in the forum here, but can’t find the answer.
Is there a way to have GP automatically end play mode when the end of the audio file is reached so that I would only need to press the Play button once to make the audio play again? Is this something where GPScript should be used to override the default behaviour?
I haven’t used the built in audio player, but if you have a bunch of one shot samples, I can highly recommend Tal-Drum, which is priced very well for what it does ($60 USD) I’m using it for a bunch of short samples like the horn intro to Jump Around by House of Pain and the drums on We Will Rock You by Queen.
Just throwing an alternative out there. Good luck with your search!
I think maybe the better way to do this may be to not have the audio file player sync’d to the GP playhead at all. Just link a button widget to the “Play From Beginning” function in the audio file player and make sure the player is set for not looping. Then you can trigger your widget whenever you want to play your audio.
