Initial tests appear very good. Using GP, PL set to 3, my OPX test gig file is recalling patches perfectly, every time. I even added an additional patch to the file and saved it. That is working well also. Gonna keep testing just to be sure…
Uninstalled 1.03 and installed 1.05. Tested first with no new patches, just the original setlist with 1.05 running the same patches and no issues loading (Predictive set to 5 - Dennis already did it with 3 so I thought I’d just try something a little different.) Then I added two new patches- legit patches I intend to use…and those loaded fine. Then I added another patch with 8 instances of OPx and 8 different patches, just because. Shut down entire rig, rebooted, started as if I was on a gig…everything fired back up (the rack was slow to load in general after adding the decked out patches but that’s to be expected). I’ll keep running it the next few days (we are off this weekend) and see if there were any issues
You guys noticed quicker the availability of the new 1.0.5 beta before I had a chance to announce it ![]()
On the basis of my feedback, Peter could quickly nail the issue and fix it. It was a small thing which broke with the previous fix. A small message from Peter:
So, please test, test and test again, such that we can confirm to Peter that it is now working perfectly.
An additionnal information from Peter:
It seems from the first trials that 1.0.5 is the solution to our issues, but please go on testing as much as you can.

I left the sonicprojects page open in a tab after the last issue and would refresh it once or twice a day just to see if there was an update
Funny thing is, I fully expected there to not be an update and when I hit refresh and saw the new inserted HTML I admittedly got all giddy like a school boy LOL
Will keep testing tho.
I’ve also tested it and it seems that OP-X Pro 3 v.1.05 for Win is the most robust version ever released.
But, it would probably help Peter from sonicprojects, to have more GP users testing this version. Beside @DKnight71 and @drbob2112, it would be very nice if we could have the help other Win users using OP-X Pro 3 for testing v.1.05 (possibly among @Basty85, @SirTommes, @Krucible, @tripleB, @mikelupo, @Beatlab, @jazzundso, @ahutnick, @jeebustrain, @Milesmf, @billw, @waltercruz, @Tsunami.Warning).
Please, please… ![]()
Hm, I don’t know how I made it to this list. I just tested the demo some time ago and have been watching what happens with v2 to v3. I‘m not an registered user (yet)…
Yes, you have to be a registered users of OP-X Pro 3 for testing this 1.05 version.
Renewing my faith in software!
I’ve been testing 1.0.5 for several days. On different computers as well. Different interfaces. Etc. All good so far!
The 1.0.5 beta is Windows only - I’m on a Mac.
I requested the help of GP users of the OP-X Pro 3 for Win version. So, indeed if you use the Mac version…

Ok didn’t know the issue persisted on Mac too…I do have the GP license for both…so I will try and run that as well
Although my main rig changed to MacBook I tested the 1.05 on my Windows Desktop and it works like I expect. It recalled all different sounds correctly when moving through the rackspaces.
As I mainly use VST3 versions on Mac it would be interesting to know if there will be an updated VST3 version for Mac.
Hy Team,
Here is an update from Peter from SonicProjects:
We still found a bug in the uploaded 1.0.5 version which makes the plugin show the previous version number after switching the GUI size back from large to small (if a previous version was installed before) or even crash or show no GUI when no other version was installed before (blank install).
The bug was fixed in-place (no new version number) - so to fix it simply delete the previous download and download and install 1.0.5 windows anew.
Although the 1.0.3 AU version didn’t suffer from the patch recall bug with predictive loading activated we now too provide an 1.0.5 Mac version for people who desperatly want to use VST3 and not AU. This one however has the restriction that you can’t install a different skin color for the VST3 (for AU it works) since this would re-set the plugin core of the VST3 to 1.0.3. But I guess the recall functionality is the most important in GigPerformer.
If the GigPerformer fixes in VST3 prove to be reliable and won’t produce issues in other hosts (still must be tested - takes a lot of time unfortunately) the fix also may be included in coming versions with all skin options available too for the Mac VST3 and maybe also an ECO version (LC will be discontinued since hardly used by anybody).
Thanks for this, you were quicker than me ![]()
In short, for all GP users:
-
For OP-X Pro 3 Win users : please remove your previous download, reload 1.0.5 again and reinstall it. We need more feedback from GP users regarding this version. Please…

-
For OP-X Pro 3 VST3 Mac users: you can now download the VST3 1.0.5 version and test it to verify that your patches are reloaded correctly with this version (no problem with the AU version, so no fix to test for the AU version). We also need feedback from VST3 Mac users regarding this new 1.0.5 version.
So, tried to break it like it says when switching sizes of the display and it didn’t break …the first couple of times…then it crashed…so uploaded the new 1.05 and all is well (PC)
Hey, everyone!!
Is this synth stable, eventually?
I was thinking about buying it but have come across this feed and am not quite understanding whether the problem has been solved or not

In its version 1.0.5 it is now very stable for me.
It comes with a lot of good sounds library and a huge collection of famous songs sounds. And well, it sounds terrific.
I use both 2 and 3
Very solid, zero issues for me.
Please guys, for Windows only consider OP-X Pro 3 from v.1.0.5 otherwise you will take the risk to have your patches not properly recalled.
