Ah, the dreaded Schwiezerdütch. One important word I learned while working in Switzerland in the mid '90s was “Egge”, Swiss for “Ecke”. I then understood why the Swiss owner of a diner down the street from my condo in Chicago named it “West Egg”. I had thought that it was just a breakfast place. The diner was on the southwest corner of E. Ontario and N. Fairbanks, two blocks east of Michigan Ave.
I should have figured it out based on the restaurant’s logo.
