Newbie here trying to decide whether to dive into GP or just go simple with hardware.
Need to have vocals, guitar and backing tracks. Currently use ipad for lyrics.
So looking to understand how to approch GP to do this ( I have logic to get plug ins etc ). However I am trying to understand how I’d get the lyrics to an ipad or similare as I would want to have use a laptop to cue from whilst perfoming.
In terms of audio I also need wired in ears - I was going to get the behinger flow 8 but perhaps with this I don’t need it. My backing tracks will start simply track left / click track right. So I just need to get a monitro in ear with both and send track to main system for audience. ( May add cue track on click side later on if time ) . I have a focusrite scarlet ( only version 1 but all works ) - so maybe I can use that as I am thinking of replacing that with a new on for recording anyway.
And finally laptop/computer. Have both OS - have a pc laptop ( few years old ) - in the real world does it run well from windows etc or would you advise sticking to Mac os please? I only have a bit iMac at the moment but wondering whether a older mac mini may work.
Anyway lot’s of questions and with my dyslexia hard to consume all the info so any help much appreciated as would be any templates to may use in the trial.
