Moving widget from one panel to another inside one rackspace

I’ve had a 2U panel for my Organ + Piano rackspace. I wanted to split 2U panels to two 1U panels, so I’ve converted existing 2U to 1U and added another 1U panel.

Is there any way, I could MOVE my piano widgets from my ‘old’ panel to the new one without loosing mapping to my VST’s? It’s a pain to do all the mappings all over again, and a pretty awkward one since it’s all inside one rackspace.

Unfortunately not at this time. When you copy/paste - the assumption is that you want to assign something else. Maybe we should add an option to “move to panel below/move to panel above” for the widgets. We’ll write that down as a possible feature.

In the mean time - here’s how to rapidly assign parameters to widgets (helps if you have multiple widgets connected to the same plugin, but different parameters)

Assigning plugin parameters to widgets is easy in Gig Performer. Select a widget, then a plugin from the drop down list and finally click on a parameter or learn it by clicking on the “Learn” button below the parameter list. If you want to assign multiple parameters from the same plugin to various widgets – you do not have to repeat the entire process from scratch. Another suggestion:
Export the Rack.
Import the rack as a second rack.
Delete Organ related things from rack 1.
Delete Piano related things from rack 2.
Now resize them.
