Limiter Plug-in?

If you confirm that they are zero latency plugins, add them here: Zero-latency plugins - list

Is it truly zero latency? Waves advertise zero on this one but McDsp Retro limiter was 0.8 latency was in reality despite advertised as zero.

At least 0 is reported back to Gig Performer and Ableton Live.

I found a free one that works in Ableton but not in GP

http://www.rs-met.com/freebies.html

toolchain. It has a limiter function. However GP doesn’t validate the plugin.

Im not sure why GP doesn’t like it. It’s made with Juice and from 2017 so maybe too old somehow.

Im gonna try the waves one.

I saw a review that said

Pros

  • +Clean sound. Low CPU usage. Easy to use side chain filtering. Multimode DeEsser filter.

Cons

  • -No brickwall limiter on output. Only one makeup gain for whole plugin. Pretty expensive for what you get.

Don’t we need brick wall limiter? Or not such a big deal?

Maybe 32 bit?

But I’m running Ableton 64bit and Toolchain opens there.

Did you validate that plugin in Gig Performer?

I’m using Blue Cat’s Protector. Zero latency and very low on CPU - highly recommended

it failed validation in GP but was ok in Ableton.

I bought this one it after testing a bit. It was 29$ on sale.
0 samples latency reported. Maybe it’s not brick wall limiter but perhaps fine for our purposes.

Thanks for your help!

Protector was 79$ but it is a brick wall limiter.maybe I should have got that.
The waves one above adds about 1% on my MacBook Pro m2 seems to work but is not brick wall.

Mac or Windows?

I have plugins older than that (Windows). One thing of importance: is it 64 bit? If not then you can’t use it, except with bridge tools like jBridge (if I recall it correctly).
