Launch Control XL MK2 show lights on buttons

I’m using a Launch Control XL MK2 to push several Radio widgets and a few regular widgets.

How can I get the LC buttons to light up when activated?

I was using notes, saw another post suggesting to switch to CC, but when I did that I encountered a second problem that caused me to eventually revert back: Midi "learn" is listening to localGP port
(probably self inflicted somehow).

help is appreciated.

You mean when the assigned widget is activated by clicking on it in Gig Performer?

correct, when the radio button is active, i want the corresponding button on LC to light.

Did you enable “Sync” in the widget properties?
And did you associate the MIDI Out device in for your MIDI Device Alias in Rig Manager?

I enabled synce but didn’t know to associate the rig. I’m sure this is the answer, but will need to verify on Sunday; not risking a rig problem over that light :wink:

after saying i wouldn’t risk more change before the gig… i risked more change before the gig :kissing_closed_eyes:

pianopaul put me on the right track.

final solution:
Launch Control: set to CC value, momentary.
GP:

  • set widget value to that cc
  • sync on
  • momentary to latching
  • no need to set alias in rig manager

in my case it’s not a toggle becase it’s connected to radio buttons.
(i have an additional problem learning midi that was confusing me, still reading GP local… a problem for another day.)
