I’ve just found out about Essentials from the GP website!

I’ve just found this out from the GP website! The timing is perfect: I own the license for GP4 for Windows and, as I am switching from Windows to Mac, I’ve been thinking to upgrade to GP5 with a cross-platform license, but now that I saw GP Essentials, which already includes a cross-platform license, I will go ahead and give it a try. It must be a sign!

Just for you to know:

  1. There is no “upgrade path” to GP5 Essentials so you would have to buy it directly

  2. If you used GP Script, OSC or Rig Manager in GP4 (among other advanced features), you will probably not be happy with GP5 Essentials as it does not include those features.

I figured. What I meant was I was thinking to upgrade to the regular GP5 but now that I found Essentials I may buy that directly. I only use basic functions, so I should be fine with the essential features. Unfortunately, the link to the Windows version download doesn’t work, but the link to the Mac version does, I just didn’t have the chance to download it and try it on Mac, yet. I can’t wait…

I can confirm, for windows it does not work.

Just to be sure:
You are not using GP script
You are not using OSC
You are not using Rig Manager

Right?

Hi,
As a owner of GP5, do I have it for free?

Why would you like to have it?

Because of that streamlined proces, so I can give my second laptop to my Vivaldi so she can use it on her setup while doing gig together- as for now she is scared to even look at it..
Maybe also for myself for specyficzny tasks.. not on my gig, but for giga with other peoples..(orch)..
who knows..

Omg I dont really have my own Vivaldi!!
I meant, my vocalist.. ))

I responded here: Gig Performer Essentials Is Here - #3 by npudar

Of course, your vocalist can have it for $59. Which is more than a good price for the value.

It’s a different product with its own single-user license.

We have to make a living

GP is a single user license.

As for now it is kept: I play under my name, and this is my setup and she is singing to my mic, my laptop, because I payed her, I am that one and only user- using My gig performer on My machines, with My mic and My vocalist that I payed her for performance, she is not payed for performance with gig performer- I am doing my stuff with it after she sung to my mic- thats that- those are NEXT steps after she sung- you got me? im sure you do- NEXT steps after recieving pure vocal, like playing with samples, in the studio, you know.
But I got you- its single user for 10 machines,

Im asking about Essentials for me- thought it would take me less time to do some tasks or smthn, and maybe learn somebody, making them do a purchase, dont you think its cool?
Giving my time so someone will buy from you?

Just by having the stripped out version of the product I already bought! <3

You know..attention span of those young artists is little shorter and Im surę she would never find the time in this era to learn it by herself, having all the stuff on her little head,
Maybe its still not clear what I mean

I see somebody answered about having to eat- that I surely understand,

Cheers to all the soldiers with serious faces in the name of „one user license”, no comment

Im not stealing from GP makers, I bought from them and talk about their product in best ways possible,

Thats all for now.

Yes, the reason for multiple activations is user convenience - we believe that users should be able to create their gigfiles in their home studio or in their office and then they need to be able to have their touring computer and a backup for touring as well.

Gig Performer Essentials (GPE) is a subset of the full version of GP. As long as you don’t use any of the features not supported by GPE, then you can create your gig on GP and then give it to somebody else who is using GPE.

Thats cool, and understood, thought interface is make simple for freshies..,
All is clear! Thanks!

The streamlining means that it is easier to become comfortable with GPE since it is not as sophisticated as the full version.

Are the included sounds and effects also available for me as a regular GP 5 user?
