Can anyone explain how to map/assign the Leslie switch in Amplitube to the modulation wheel on midi controller . I heard there is a new feature in GP that makes this process easier.
Where is there a Leslie switch in Amplitube? I have Amplitube 5 and I don’t see a Leslie effect anywhere.
As for a new feature, there’s nothing new about controlling a Leslie switch via gig performer. You generally just map a widget to the Leslie parameter of the plugin and then associate the widget with your controller
Edit: In Amplitube you have to assign an automation parameter to whatever you’re trying to control. Please see the Amplitube manual for more information about that. Once you have enabled host automation for any control, then you will be able to control it from Gig Performer via a widget
Thanks for your response … I see the Leslie speed parameter under the “automation “ sectio in the settings menu. I assigned the Leslie’s speed to parameter 1,2 etc . And I mapped the widget to that specific parameter , but the mod wheel still isn’t connected to Leslie plugin…I guess I need to learn how to enable automation. I’ll keep trying
Did you map your mod wheel to the widget?
As @dhj pointed out, you map the widget to that parameter and then Learn the Midi for that widget from the mod wheel of your controller.
So I’m able to map the widget to the mod wheel on my controller successfully …, but it’s not mapped to the parameter in Amplitube …did you assign the parameters in Amplitube in “Automation” under Daw Automation ?
I see you’ve mapped CabB inside Amplitube – what happens if you map CabA instead? I think CabB and CabC are for the other branches of the signal. The main branch is CabA.
Ok thanks …I’ll try Cab A
Thanks so much… I mapped the Leslie switch successfully…you were right, it only seems to work with Cabinet A …thanks again for your support and guidance
