Hello i need to map any midi footswitch to be able to do one note key kits from my synth plugins by sunday lol. I just want each button to be a pad a bass drop and a couple fx like thunder ect.. I can program them but not sure how to make it map to one key on the keyboard. Is it the window for midi controllers that pops up or do I have to do it in the plugin? Ty for any advice

I’m confused. Do you want to trigger each note/effect by hitting a key on the keyboard or a pedal/button on the footswitch.
How were you thinking the sound would be generated? A soft synth or triggering some type of independent audio file (thunder)? Or do you want to trigger a sound in your hardware keyboard?
Yes in the plugin it would be the c note for example but that could be any sound. I would press the footswitch and it would essentially press “c” for me in the plugin with momentary or latching commands. I want to play kontact sounds with my feet please help lmao.

It’s easy with some pedals. In addition to sending CC or PC on a Blackstar Live Logic, you can set it up to send a note on/off of the key of your choice, momentary or latching.
I never did this and my GP chops are not quite as strong as others here.
But I guess you do want to know what data your pedal can send. If it really can send note on/off of a particular key (velocity?), then I guess you would set it up as a controller and you should get a midi in block, and go from there.
I would think the other route (especially if your foot pedal does not do that) is create a widget and have the widget trigger a note on/off of a particular key (I guess at a specified velocity).
I think I’m a bit over my head here. I would think this is doable, but one of the more proficient people here can give you better guidance than me. (If I was trying to do this I would try these options, but would likely be back here asking for advice).
Yes could I do a single key press with a widget? The pedals arent my issue i need to find where to link the pedal to the key note. I noticed a midi controller menu comes up when you add the midi block mabey I can set it in there or see if arturia and kontact let me link a widget to a single keyboard press.

You can set the velocity in the Blackstar Live Logic, too. You’re stuck with one (per button), but I’d guess that’s pretty much the case with any pedal triggering.
