I have a melodic sequence defined as a note on a single VST. How do trigger that melodic sequence using a pedal rather than a note or button on my keyboard?
Edit: I’ve successfully set up a pedal widget which recognizes my foot switch toggle action and can get it to open that VST but can’t get it to play the note.
Map the pedal widget to the appropriate note parameter of the MIDI in block connected to the plugin you want to play (scroll parameters until you reach notes).
Map the pedal to a widget and have the widget mapped to whatever MIDI In block is connected to your VST and then select the parameter for whatever note you want to send.
Thank you! Problem solved. For some reason I was hung up wanting to assign to a parameter on the VST instrument instead of its controlling block.
