Heavy CPU Load/ Arturia Plugins

Hi Community,
I’m now working with Gigperformer for about half an year and I’m very glad of this piece of software.
To see what is possible and to get some ideas, I bought a cover pack from Narfsounds.
Unfortunately, my laptop isn’t very impressed with the scope of the projects.
As soon as I open the songs my CPU usage goes to 100% and then of course the thing can no longer be played. However, I have to say that the Arturia plugins generally stress my computer. With a bit of luck I can play 2 of these plugins in parallel.
I don’t have the “high end machine”, but it shouldn’t be that bad:
Ryzen 7, 8 cores/16 threads, 32 GB memory.
Maybe someone here has experience with these plugins or knows similar problems.
Thank you very much and have a nice weekend.
Greetings from Bavaria
Eric

Welcome to the community @epfaller . If you haven’t found this link yet…it should be of interest.

Hey, thanks for your quick response. I know this guide and did most of the settings, which has the greatest effect on load reduction, at least for me.
By the way, the performance meter in Gigperformer shows always a higher load than the performance meter in windows.
I’ll keep on fighting …

Check out this thread:

The meter in GP is only measuring the audio thread

Jeff, I will give it a try and will return. Enjoy! Thanks.

Yep, I am curious if that helps. Frank1119 saved my ass with that one!

Good morning out of Bavaria,
I finally did it, made the changes descibed by Frank. Loaded up a the project, the cpu load decreases tremendously. I don’t made a check by extreme playing, but at the moment it seems fixed.
Btw. I want to use Gigperformer for live performances in a hybird solution together with my Fantom, to get rid of my Yamaha moxf.
A lot lof work to configure all rackspaces/ songs.
Jeff, thanks a lot for your informations, instructions and your time. Additionally thanks to frank, who invested a lot of time to describe the things to be done.
Have a nice sunday!

Eric

I think this is the most important post (below):

Getting Frank’s zip file.

Then I insisted that he walk me through everything to install like I was an 8 year old. Hah!

ps1 is not allowed, but a zip file I apparently can do :grinning:

That sounds perfect for a mini article!
You game?

Hmm, not much more to tell.

Epfaller, I am curious, is it still working?

Good evening ( at least here) Jeff, my savior.
Indeed it is still working, no crackles …

Thanks again.
