When did you buy it and what was your initial version?
At some point you will have a rackspace with variations and if you bypass midi-in blocks you may have hanging notes.
The issue is when you bypass the whole midi-in block the note off messages will never arrive, so an alternative to “bypassing” the midi-in block is to only block the note ons so the note offs can do thier job.
