Gig Performer with Arturia AnalogLab and Keylab 61 mkII on Win10

Hello, folks!

I am using Arturia AnalogLab in Gig Performer connected to my Arturia Keylab.

When I bought GP4 in March 2024 I was so happy to see that changes via Keylab are not only recognized by AnalogLab but even the changed data could have been seen on the display of the Keylab.
Not only that, but the lights of the switches of the keyboard also turned on when pressed. (as it is if connected directly to AnalogLab - These were some of the main reasons, why I changed from Cantabile to Gig Performer)

But it hasn’t worked for a few days now. Although the controller and switches continue to work, there is no longer any visual feedback. I did not change the wireing in the rackspaces or other things. (Midi-In: Keylab-USB → AL → Audio)

(for further informations: when I use AnalogLab`s standalone application, everything works as expected. Therefore problems with the keyboard can be ruled out)

It would be nice if you could help me fix the error.

Best regards,

Olaf Trawitzki

OK, so what happened meanwhile?
You said you did not change the wiring in the rackspaces or other things in Gig Performer, so what did change?

Driver update, system update, plugin update, AnalogLab update?

Can you try with reverting to a System Restore point before this started to happen?

@olaf what exact KeyLab model are you using (MkI, MkII, essential)?

If MkII: is your KeyLab in LAB or USER mode?

@triple B
I am using MKII in Lab mode

I installed decent sampler…Mmh… will see what will happen after deinstalling.

Just a shot into the blue (as we Germans say): Do/did you use the OMNI MIDI input? Are both MIDI Ports of the KeyLab MkII in your GP options enabled?

To have proper support of the controls and full analog lab support I had to wire both KeyLab MIDI Inputs to Analog Lab and set your KeyLab MkII in LAB Mode.

I’m not at my KeyLab currently, I will check later the day if something changed. Did not use this for quite some time…

What definitly still works in GP5 is setting up your own LED feedback:

Thanks for the hint.
Yes, I am working in Lab mode and retried everything as you suggested. Unfortunately without success.

Just checked my rig. Works as before :man_shrugging:t3:
I’m on macOS

I just opened Analog Lab in my old Brainspawn Forte:
Everything works fine. All switches light up, and I can see all controllers and their values on the LCD… Why doesn’t that work proper in GP? I think there must be something wrong with the return path of the data in GP…

I think with GP everything is OK  It’s more about the architecture of plugins and AnalogLab …

The problem with the return path is, that the Analog Lab plugin does not provide an MIDI out. This is handled internally by the AL plugin (or the AL app).
On the Mac side this is working as I described above when routing both inputs.

So let’s check one more tjime and from the beginning:

Then Analog Lab should work, like on my side.

Thank you for not giving up.
I did my wireing exact the way you do. It does not work (win10).

As I said, with Brainstorm Forte everything works as aspected.

We will see.
