Blue3 - organ sound drops out after a few minutes, can only hear the key click

I am having an issue with the Cherry Audio Blue3 plugin, the sound is dropping out after 2-3 minutes, I cannot hear the organ timbre, just the click of the Perc part of the sound when the issue happens. I was not able to recreate the issue in Blue3 standalone, only while using GP. The issue seems to occur at the same timing interval, although I have not measured it exactly…

Do you have another plugin host or DAW you can test the Blue3 plugin in?

Yes I can test it in Studio One, I will try it there

Windows or Mac?

Windows 10

GP 5.1.6

I can’t reproduce the issue here so far–played the Windows VST3 (version 1.0.12) for about 10 minutes in GP.

If you start a new gig with just the Blue3 plugin, does the same drop out happen?

This is stupidly unlikely (but sometimes I get lucky), check the midi monitor. Maybe an immediate “note off” when you hit the key could cause it. (Like I said, unlikely).

I don’t think so becuase I still hear the click organ part of the sound…

I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue in standalone or Studio One Pro

I am trying to reproduce the issue in GP right now…

Are the drawbars moving in the plugin? You aren’t somehow calling up a preset with the lower keys?

What do you mean by at the same timing?

Just for grins, block all events except for notes in the MIDI In block connected to blue3 and see what happens

Is it demo mode and somehow not picking up licensing? What if you rescan plugins?

I was able to recreate the issue. It appears to only happen when I have the plugin GUI window

open.

Disabling events other than note on/off did not change anything.

Sounds like a bizarre bug in the plugin – what format are you using?

VST3

I am still working on getting the sound bug to reproduce reliably

Video card driver issue?

(If it only happens when the plugin gui is open, that’s a nice data point that should allow you to avoid the problem while performing. )

The original Blue3 from GG Audio is running perfectly stable and should still be available via Cherry Audio if you purchased their Blue3.

I wonder how it compares to the current version…

As far as I know cherry audio has implemented a better preset browser and has added stomp effects.

I am still having the issue. I am wondering how I might further isolate the issue…I am not able to

recreate it reliably, but it is definitely happening. Hitting the midi panic button resolves the issue, so

I guess its midi related?

When the issue occurs, my other plugins work fine, its only an issue with Blue3.

What midi keyboards and controllers do you use? And Please post a hardcopy of the used midi in block.
