Would I be able to use the Envelope Follower to trigger a one hit sample when I hit my Drum trigger that’s sending an audio signal to Gig Performer
Short answer is yes
Dare I ask for the long answer
The long answer is the envelope follower generates some cc messages depending on the incoming audio level.
This cc message can be routed to a scriptlet which converts it to a note message.
Then this note message can be sent to your drum module.
I did, but it didn’t really help me, unless I didn’t understand it. In the past I’ve used KT Drum trigger to covert the audio into Midi then attached a sampler into KT Drum Trigger with a one shot loaded into it so I get the desired sound when I hit my drum pad
With envelope follower and a scriptlet you can achieve what you want,
Thanks, I will give it a try
I can’t seem to figure it out, I have zero clue what to put in Scriptlet. I really need this to work, is there anyway you can help. I’m not tech savy so a step by step on how to get audio coming in to trigger an audio file will be massively appreciated
