Bandhelper now with OSC support!

Just updated my Bandhelper desktop app and discovered, that it got first OSC support!

In this first release from December 2024 one can define OSC devices and OSC presets to send out when changing a song within Bandhelper.

I’m currently testing, first try was already successful:

You can easily create a /GigPerformer/SwitchToSong message with the song name as an argument and GP reacts :sunglasses:

Bandhelper can now send Songnames to select Songs in a setlist!

Receiving OSC is not available yet. I don’t care, as I currently send only previous and next song so Bandhelper by MIDI over the local Bandhelper MIDI port.

This is a great first step, as one doesn’t need to do MSB, LSB, PC mapping between Bandhelper and GP anymore

Next stop receiving OSC?

Didn’t know a desktop app existed. Is it Mac or Windows. I’d like the Windows version.

I‘m on macOS with a native app. According to BandHelper: Platforms there’s a chance to run the Android version on Windows?!

I will dive in that another evening because my alarm for work will go in 7 hours Thank you for your reply… i fear ios is better supported than Windows. But i’ll look into it.

Maybe you can check out Live Prompter.
(NB: there are tutorials for Gig Performer and Band Helper, Live Prompter, Mobile Sheets, … here)

@tripleB Thru Bluestacks is a possibility indeed but MIDI messages aren’t possible.
@npudar I will look into your suggestion.
Thank you (both) !!
