"Automatic" Sustain Pedal press, for whole bar

Hi

Is there a way to trigger a Sustain Pedal message on every downbeat, for the length (or almost) of a full bar?

I’ve tried importing a MIDI-file that did this and used a synced MIDI Player to send the info to the instrument but it didn’t seem to work; any ideas?

That’s probably possible, for example using a GPScript as you can react to a beat change. But, do you need to synchronize it with something? What is your beat reference?
