Any chance you are running low on battery?Please do a test and uncheck your audio input device
I bet this will fix the problem.

This was the solution. Once my replacement headphones arrived, I was able to use the interface’s out put, and using the output enabled me to use a whole whack of plugins at once on 16 samples without any glitches whatsoever in my performance and when using other software, like YouTube on a browser. Thank you!

Curious. Why are you using such a small buffer size? You’re really just making your computer work harder with no clear benefit that I can think of
I would highly advise to look into GP5.
The folks here have done many great improvements from Gp4 to Gp5.
They are always very active with one goal - to make Gp the best and most stable software for live performance.
GP4 is still good - don’t get me wrong. But you want to stay up to date to support this wonderful team and to benefit from the latest features and updates.
Trust me - you will NOT regret it.
