I am using Windows 11 and I am trying to get Gig Performer to work without an audio interface. ASIO4ALL 2.15 works fine playing through the headphone jack with my individual plugins so I know its not an issue with ASIO4ALL, however the moment I load up my rack in GP…The sound comes out of my laptops internal speakers ONLY…No matter what setting I change in GP…nothing works. HELP?
You could perhaps try VB-Audio Matrix
Also try FlexASIO.
I tried it but theres too much latency. 10ms and theres no user interface to change it anything less than 448 samples.
No magic there. Get a decent audio interface. You don’t have to spend a fortune on one but it’s silly to invest in a product like GP and then not use it with an audio interface.
I have a Focusrite and a Presonus interface…my point is that I am trying to eliminate an external audio interface from my set up.
Yes i saw that however I couldnt figure out how to use it…
VB-Audio VoiceMeeter works fairly well using Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO.
The question would then be: Why do you feel you need to do this?
I want to take my Keytar to some open jams and I want to cut down on the number of connections. Tablet USB, to wireless midi. Tablet audio out, to Amp. If I add in my Focusrite, I now need my Tablets remaining USB (Which I now use to AC power) Not to mention the Focusrite needs AC power as well.
OK, I see. The thing to be aware of though, is that the built-in audio out will typically be of a lower audio quality than an audio interface and is unlikely to have drivers that will achieve low-enough latency as they are mostly intended for listening to music only.
However, if you can solve the latency issue, I can see how this could be acceptable for jam nights.
Maybe the little Personus Audiobox Go is a compromise (I am happy with it).
@Tancredible does your laptop use a Realtek chipset to provide the audio output? If so,. Realtek have a ASIO driver available.
Yes I seemed to have figured that out the hard way…LOL.
I have one of those also, however my problem is that I am now using a Panda wireless Midi system that now takes up1 of the 2 USB ports on my Tablet so is I use an audio interface I dont have a Port to keep my tablet charged for gigs.
