I don’t have many installed in GP, just MRhythmizerMB and MCCGenerator, but they went “missing” in GP. Plugin Manager shows they are there but for some reason, the instances in GP show them as missing. I can insert new instances.
Problem is I spent a long time on MCCGenerator, have lots and lots of uses for this plugin and they all have particular settings that took me a long time to figure out (lots of Midi CCs and custom waveforms), and I didn’t save them as presets.
Is there a way to reconnect these “missing” instances back to the plugin in Plugin Manager?
All of VST264 bits are in a VSTPlugins folders under Program Files and the VST3s are where the rest of those are (Common Files)
I’m not really sure when this happened and I’ve been having other problems, if you’ve seen the graphics card thread. Are you suggesting that perhaps the physical location was changed and if I was able to restore to the previous location, GP would connect the instance to the plugin again?
GP scans those two locations. I have a lot of plugins, Melda are the ones that have gone “missing”. But like I said, Melda plugins are showing up in the Plugin Manager
I bet you have a gig file that referred to those plugins at a different location. If you are able to insert a new one, then just use Quick Replace to replace the existing “not found” versions.
Not if you do it as a replace. But Gig Performer didn’t just lose those plugins - something changed in your environment to make GP think the plugin was no longer available. Worst case, you might want to examine the gigfile (it’s XML) and see if the paths to the missing plugins are stored there and then copy the plugins to that location.
I’m on Win10. It’s scanning where the plugin is located. GP finds the plugin but the instances in my gig files are not referring to it.
I think DHJ is correct, I think the location has been moved. I did download the new 15.0.2 versions about a week ago so it must have moved them when I updated them. How do I figure what locations the instances are referring to?
