All Melda went missing

It’s using VST instead of VST3? How did you see that?

Because on my System VST is installed and when moving the mouse over the plugin this information is show.
I am sure when you install the VST version from Melda it is working.

When you edit the gig file with a text editor you can see:

PLUGIN name=“MCCGenerator” format=“VST” category="" manufacturer=“MeldaProduction”
version=“15.1.0.0” file=“C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\MeldaProduction\Tools\MCCGenerator.dll”
uid=“4d434347” isInstrument=“0” fileTime=“17df836e940” infoUpdateTime=“17fbe79c1f6”
numInputs=“4” numOutputs=“2” isShell=“0” isEnabled=“1” useDelayedLoading=“0”/>

If it isn’t missing, mousing over it reveals that, yes. See that now.

Problem solved. When I updated to 15.0.2, it removed the VST and updated the VST3. I just installed the VST and back in business.

Thanks pianopaul and dhj!

This is useful information for the future, thank you!

You should report that update as a bug.

I think the issue was, that he installed the new version, but only VST3 and not VST
The Melda Installer has an option to remove previous versions.
Now when it removes all versions and only VST3 is installed, then it is no wonder that GP does not find the VST-version

Yeah but I wonder if the VST2 version was unchecked by default?

Yeah, this is basically user error.

Larger problem is filling up the plugin screen with both VST and VST3. I would just use VST3 but I get some crashing with VST3s in GP, particularly Softube VST3s. So I am already inclined to not install both.

But for whatever reason, I didn’t install VST2 when I was updating to Melda 15.0.2. And I didn’t think about this at all when they started coming up missing.

Thank you both for helping troubleshoot. Sorry you were troubleshooting a user in a maze of his own making!
