Zenology and Roland cloud issues

After 4 hours of crashes, reloads and damnations with last update of GigPerformer I have discovered the evil…

Zenology VST hinstances… Just deleted all of them and replaced with Arturia Collection instruments
Maybe Fantasia will no more be Fantasia but my Gig now is super stable

Checkout UVI Synth Anthology 4 that has a bunch of Roland and Yamaha Fantasia styled patches:

That’s what I currently use for Bell and Fantasia styled patches instead of any of the Roland Cloud plugins for live work

Just taken the Arturia completencollection for few money (I had a coupon + black Friday 50% drop :slightly_smiling_face:)

Do you have a crash report for the Roland support?

Unlucky not. But I can confirm increase stability in my gigs after the removal of Zenology from them

It’s very customer-unfriendly of Roland that they don’t value live musicians with their plugins.

It seems that they still want to sell rather hardware than sofware. Or, SW only as a digital twin for at home/studio use

Yamaha and the Montage plugin seem to follow a similar philosophy…

Korg is the only one offering good plugin work horses for live-musicans - unfortunatly only legacy models with slight limitations (e.g. preset management import/export for Triton / Triton Extreme)

Just to be clear, an online search will show that such crashes are occurring with other plugin hosts as well.

If Yamaha made the Montage plugin available to the public for purchase that would definitely cut into sales of the Montage keyboard. Would be cool if Korg released a Kronos plugin

If the Montage VST was better than the current version id get rid of at least 50% of my plugins.
I was using a MODX up to the point I got GP, and although im happy with most of what I have I still miss some of my MODX presets. My Fantom 06, not at all as the Roland cloud more than makes up for that.I need to sell the 06 as ill never go back to it.
Although ive had one or two issues in the past, ive not had any recently and can’t see me giving it up completely, although my new-ish Korg Triton VST is slowly taking over for strings and 80’s synth stuff.
