Just a little question: I have no problem to find my Gig Files, but where are songs stored on a Mac System?
Wherever you put them!

Forgive me if I am missing something, but I think songs are just part of the Gig file unless you export a song file. In that case, I think you just export them into whatever folder you want/create.
I assumed he was talking about actual songs (MP3s, etc)
Hmm, I guess we will see. 
I am not talking about MP3s. If songs exist only as parts of Gig Files and don’t exist as external files than my question seems to be senseless, but I was confused about this. I thought that songs (in the sense of parts of Gig Files) would also exist somewhere as external files, but it seems that this is not the case.

Also make sure you either put them in a non iCloud folder, or enable keep downloads.
