Weird MIDI issue

Ok, weird one here….

MacBook Air, M1
Just updated GP

I’ve got a Roland FC200 foot controller that I’ve been using with GP.
I have a panel with widgets on it to basically duplicate the look of the board.
With the Global MIDI window open, I can assign the single continuous controller “rocker pedal” to the master trim… everything works, I can see the value change as well as the widget on the panel change.
As soon as I close the global midi window, it stops working. I can see the movement on the panel widget when I move the pedal, but the trim setting is stuck in the position of when the global window closes.
It seems that it only controls the trim setting when the global window is open (which is obviously not how things are supposed to work)

All of the other midi functions between controller and GP seem to be fine.

Any suggestions? I am away from my rig until this evening, so I can give specific setting information replies later.

Do you mean the Options window, or the Global MIDI Monitor window?
There’s another window in the “Window” menu called ‘MIDI Assignments’. That will show everything you have MIDI learned/mapped, so may highlight a conflict.

Which window are you talking about here?

It’s been solved. There was a widget unintentionally assigned.

That was it… I had unintentionally assigned the pedal to a widget.
Good thing I’m bald, or I would have pulled all of my hair out!
Thanks
