I’ll admit that Waves makes some good plugins, but when I bought my new laptop, I installed ZERO of the many Waves plugins I have licenses for. WUP sucks and Waves shells suck even more. No thanks.

If you’re running on a Windows system and are content using the vst versions of Waves plugins, you can utilize VSTWrapperBuilder to break the Waves shells up into their individual component dlls. That can assist with scanning time and other issues that Waves shells can face in plugin hosts and DAWs.
