VST or VST3?

If both are available in your configuration, do you go for the VST, or VST3 plugin? Why?

I never quite figured that out myself, I still use VST2.

Same here. AU is hit and miss… (I prefer VST anyway)… and VST3 isn’t available for some. So I standardize on VST2. There may be something for us in GigPerformer with the feature that VST3 plugins do some sort of shutdown when not in use. Releasing resources.
