Hi everyone. I’m looking to purchase a volume/expression pedal. Should I buy them separately also any suggestions on a Midi pedal controller? Thanks
When you need to control ans expression at the same time you have to use 2
What do you need to control?
MIDI data?
Yes! Midi control.
So I should have one pedal for volume and one for expression. How do I hook this up to be able to control it from gigperformer? Or can I hook them up to the midi controller foot pedal?
Normally you connect that pedals to a midi keyboard.
Then the keyboard sends the corresponding midi messages to gig performer
Ok great thank you for your help
I’m sorry! I’ve just looking through sweetwater for volume & expression pedals. I have been using a Yamaha 7 pedal for volume. On a video in sweetwater it said its more used for expression pedal. Anyway they demoed a BOSS volume pedal with I out and output. My question is since I’m using gigperformer how would I go about hooking that up since I’m not going to an amp? Do I just go from the out put of the pedal to the keyboard and then set it up on gigperformer? I’m a novice with all this so I apologize if I’m asking a stupid question
For what do you want to use the pedals.
Are you playing a keyboard and want to control volume and some parameters of a sound?
Yes. Basically volume and some controls.
Parameters.
What keyboard are you using?
I have a 88 key native instrument mk3. Which I basically just use for piano, electric piano, and acoustic guitar. Then a novation impulse 61 and Roland A-800 pro.
You can use the Yamaha fc 7 as an expresssion pedal and depending in what input you connect it cc7 or cc11 or whatever you configure is sent out to gig performer
I use an AudioFront interface with my existing pedals and they all work great.
Take a look at the Morningstar MC6 Pro or the new MC8 for a midi foot controller, won’t ive you the pedals but for all other things mide they are the nuts.
