Is this app designed to control any MIDI controlled rack synths and effects?
Vintage Keys, Midiverb… etc…
Any limitations, add-ons, number of devices or special hardware?
What about Gforce Virtual products such as their Mellotron…etc.?
It certainly can. You need a midi keyboard or trigger device to send midi into GP and then route that to external gear. That’s about the only requirement you’d need. If it can recieve a midi note you can use GP to route midi to it, send PC changes, etc… even sysex.
GP is primarily a VST host. You can use nearly any VST in GP and play millions of sounds this way.
It’s a very low latency live performance software platform capable of doing more than I could ever write about it.
GP was originally designed as a plugin host and so hosting plugging such as MTron Pro, Oddity and their recent SEM is a trivial piece of GP functionality.
GP also includes MIDI Out blocks were and those are used to control external devices such as those you mentioned.
Yes, GP does it all without restriction. You can not only include and control your hardware within GP, but also mix it with hosted plugins and add effects. Difficult to tell you everything you can do with GP because you can do… well… everything.
