Has anybody already updated to the latest version of VB3-II?
In one of the last updates the host automation assignment was mixed up, and I had to reassign some controls…
Is it a new version or a free update?
Free update. I’ve not had a chance to try it yet.
It is a free update - I just tried it yesterday – it’s actually quite nice
Updated my Test iMac - everything fine so far. No Host automation shuffling like last update 
They switched the order of some parameter places?
Yes, they did → VB3-II 2023 released - #48 by tripleB
IIRC from 2.0.0 to 2.1.0. therfore I’m cautious when updating the VB3-II

I have also updated on my MacBook Pro M1, it works, no problems.
