Wow, that is some interesting setup you made Paul. Really nicely done

I like it very much, congrats! I will try to reproduce your settings.
I’ve got it nearly perfect (I think) with Avenger ![]()
Also have both presets for Synth1

What is Avenger?
Dance oriented synth, but it can do nearly everything.

Did you do all these presets for Avemger? It seems that your link is not available…
sorry corrected

OK thanks, now it works, but the 1984 sweep sound from synth1 is not as close as what @pianopaul did.
And I just found this on KVRAudio regarding Synth1
Haha
yeah well synth1 is a basic synth but still one of the best. The engine just sound so pure analog. Many modern synth can’t get to this level. It has it’s limitations I agree but still very versatile. And free
But true you’ll need the 32b version
Hi PianoPaul,
I just bought Syntronix and installed the OBx. I am new to midi. I set all the settings like you show but mine is nothing close to yours. What sound did you start with? Is there some way you could export the sound me to install? or maybe you could also send a screenshot of your “Edits” panel? Thank you in advance for any and all help in trying to get the 1984 sound. Ross
Is there a “Van Halen Sweep” preset in the Syntronik OXa?
Start with that. And then you can look at Paul’s image to tweak settings.
Jeff
There is no specific preset in Syntronik named anything like Van Halen Sweep. There are a lot of sweep presets, though, including 7 in OXa.
Try this
Van Halen Sweep2.st3si (1003.8 KB)
Thanks. I can’t figure out where this file goes. It’s not an instrument file (.st3i). I couldn’t find any other files with that extension. TIA.
