Hi guys, I’m trying to create a global rack space with 3 instances of omnisphere in multi mode. One for piano (key scape) one for Rhodes and keys and one multi for synth and pad. I’m using midi re channel to address each channel of omnisphere and created a grid to turn specific (patches) on and off. My question is how can I optimize this as I am idling at 25 to 30 % cpu. That’s without any other rackspaces. MacBook Pro. M1 Pro 64 g ram 2 tb ssd
Turn on sample thinning. Obviously how much polyphony you’re using can affect performance. Latency settings too. I have both Keyscape and Omnisphere they sound great but they definitely can be heavy on the CPU
I suppose you could bypass unused ones in each rackspace they are not used, but that may be a headache.
Actually, that would be a nice feature: an option to bypass everything in the Global Rackspace unless it it’s output is specifically output to an active local rackspace.
