Using GP with Two Guitarists

Hi, so I teach guitar for a living and when my students are in person id like to do away with the Katana amp and use my computer. Ideally I would have my sound coming from one speaker and the students from another. I done a file where I have this and it’s working fine but id like to set it up where I can control presets for both. Ideal 4 sounds each at least and be able to combine them at will (the hard part). Is there a logical way to approach this??? So far I have two almost identical chains in parallel. I have a clean, crunch, heavy and lead sound for each but if I want to say have a clean sounds while the student has a lead sound the only way to do this is to have many variations. Is there a way to choose a preset for each??

Use two instances

Some time ago I had two guest-guitarists playing along. They had no gear whatsoever, so I used 3 instances. Two for them, one for me. Further two pedals, one controlling my instance and one controlling the instance of the guest electric guitar player. The other one played purely acoustic, so no pedal there.

This setup worked perfectly well.

Yeah I just wanted the simplicity of on program open. For screen real estate if nothing more but yeah, I’ll look to double up. I can run in a single session with manual switching which isn’t too bad .
