USB hub advice

What are some hubs that actually work for running multiple controllers when all your usb ports are full? I have a couple but they are trash even powered they still dont work. Ty

I have found Anker powered hubs to be excellent - never had an issue - still using them on tours

Thanks!

Looking at them now is the 36 watt one sufficient? Ty

(I wouldn’t pursue sufficient, I’d go with lots more than sufficient, just in case)

Late to this party, but I needed more ports and I was finding that USB 3 powered hubs were causing issues with one of my controllers. So I tried a spare 4-port USB 2.0 hub I had and the controller now works fine. I did some searching for a 7-port USB 2.0 hub and ended up getting a Startech 7 port powered USB 2.0 hub, No lights or on/off buttons but it has worked perfectly. How did the issues manifest?

I originally had an Anker 7-port USB 3 powered hub, which are great hubs and worked fine with all of my USB controllers, until I bought a Keith McMillen 12-Step MIDI pedal. I connected the 12-Step to the Anker USB 3 hub and it was not recognized by Audio/MIDI on my MacBook. As soon as I switched to a USB 2 hub it was recognized and worked fine in GP. So, nothing wrong with the USB 3 hub or GP, it was a compatibility issue with an older USB controller device that needs USB 2 connectivity.
