If you select a Combination preset, save the project in your DAW, and then reload it, the Combination no longer sounds the same as before. Example: “BeeG Pad2 Bright” — the sounds are (among other things) detuned within themselves.
Tested with VST2 and VST3 in Gig Performer and Cubase.
P.S. If anyone still has the older v1.4.1, I’d be grateful if you could send it to me. Unfortunately, Korg no longer provides it on their site. I’ve informed Korg, but it will probably take a while before anything happens…
Korg was at least quick to respond. They said the problem is known and they’re working on it.
Here are the links to the previous version, which works better for me:
I forgot all about this issue, and when I got my M5 MacBook Air recently I had to install from fresh. I just checked and it’s showing as version 1.4.5. and Triton Extreme is showing as 1.1.1. Both on Mac.
Cant say ive noticed any issues so far but not thoroughly tested it yet.
From the release notes.
v1.4.5 (2026-03-03): Fixed an issue related to saving and loading REALTIME CONTROLS parameters and resolved an issue where the browser would close unexpectedly [5.5].
Thanks. I was a bit confused because “KORG Software Pass” was showing version 1.4.3 for me.
I have now installed the current 1.4.5 over 1.4.1 and tested it. The bug seems to be fixed.
It’s really annoying that the Korg Software Pass only shows “Update available” and the currently installed version number, but not the version of the available update…
I haven’t done this myself yet. But it seems to be possible with a tool, subject to limitations:
Save a .PCG file from the TRITON Rack
On the hardware rack, save your Programs/Combinations as a PCG file via disk/SCSI/media, depending on your setup.
Copy the .PCG file to your computer
Convert the PCG file to VST patch files
Use the community tool “Triton PCG to VST patch converter”: github.com/justedni/triton_pcg_to_vstIt converts hardware TRITON PCG files into .patch files for:
KORG Collection TRITON
KORG Collection TRITON Extreme
Choose the correct output format
For the normal TRITON VST: choose Triton
For TRITON Extreme VST: choose Triton Extreme
Copy the generated .patch files into the plugin preset folderOn Windows, usually:
After that, the imported patches should appear in the TRITON plugin’s preset/user browser.
Important limitations:
The TRITON VST does not officially import hardware PCG/SysEx files directly.
User samples/RAM samples from the hardware will not transfer properly.
EXB-MOSS sounds from the TRITON Rack will not be reproduced 1:1 in the VST.
The converter exports a limited number of user banks because the VST itself has bank limitations.
In short:
TRITON Rack → save PCG → convert PCG to .patch → copy into KORG/TRITON/Presets → restart plugin
I’m from Munich, Germany. If you need help, I’d also be happy to assist free of charge. Alternatively, you could post the question publicly in the forum — perhaps someone there already has experience with this.
Thank you so much for helping! I need to figure out how to get the data off of the floppys onto the computer but I’m sure there’s a floppy reader out there for that. Greatly appreciate the help!
Unfortunately I must say that for me personally the problem has not been solved even with that latest v1.4.5. After saving and loading the gig file the effect parameters seem to be set right but sound bypassed, too soft or just messed up.
I reverted back to 1.4.1 thanks to the links posted by @LeeHarvey, once again.
